Just got off the phone with the new landlord and was given the ok to keep my tank. I have to get a $30,000 renters insurance policy on the rental but that is only about $200 for the year. She specifically states "No pets or animals of any kind." I was having a hard time figuring out what to do but my conscience got to me and I had to ask, try to keep it without her knowledge or do the right thing. The right thing won out, I made the call, and she seemed really interested in reef systems when I explained how it works and how "theres no way it can overflow and end up on the floor";) I feel so much better now. I explained to her that it is part of my income being that I sometimes sell some of my frags and that it wont cost her any money(she pays water) because I have to use ro water. I also mentioned she could come by and see it after I had it all put back together and running. I am so glad she said I could keep it. I feel good about doing the right thing. If she said I couldnt then I would have had to sell all livestock, clean and store everything for a later date. My whole day, weekend, month, year just got better.;D

Congrats! I had it written into my lease that I could have my tank. As a result I have to have renters insurance as well. Score on keeping the tank!

Thanks. It is a really good feeling to have done the right thing and have it work out for the best. At first she seemed hesitant to the idea but she listened asked questions and was open to hearing me out. I was so down about possibly having to sell everything and store the equipment away. Theres no way I could sell it, unless it was for an upgrade.
