x2 on that.. I in the past bought fish from 2 different LFS seem the one my fish would always die, then the other LFS was higher priced for same/simliar fish and they would live forever.. its weird but true..

Take this as a lesson to make your next fish's, tang or not, life better. Learn everything you can. A life in a healthy private tank is better than any LFS can provide. I hope you keep it up!

Id get your nitrate down, salinity up a bit and probably drop the temp 1-2 degrees. My tangs get very cranky when my tank hits the 80"s I try to keep it about 78 and they are more calm and peaceful.

ok. I'll do a water change tomorrow so that the nitrates and salinity get better.
And I'll lower the temps too.

It does take time for it to click. but when It does you will be on a role and nothing can stop you! But definately a new source of fish might be an option to look at.

Yeah, give the regal another try again in a couple months.

I lost my regal a few weeks ago. I wasn't happy, but it had an internal parasite from what i can tell. Maybe it had an air bladder infection because it had to fight to stay down int he tank. There was no way to catch it, and it died.
