I got 3 free acyrlic tanks!!!

I got 3 acrylic 16" cubes w/ built in overflows . . . FOR FREE! My my mom is friends with the guy that does her nails(he actually owns the whole salon), and apparently, he tried getting into the fish pedicures, but before he got all of the equipment, it was banned in The State of Florida and deemed unsanitary, so he gave the tanks to me. I think he bought them with the intention of them being holding tanks. They still have the protective wrapping on the acrylic to protect from scratches before sale. They are 15 or 16 gallons each. Although they are only 15 gallons, they look more like 25. Anyone know how much they might be worth or any cool ideas for a setup in one? I know an LED build would be sweet on one of these.

PS: i forgot to mention that one came w/ a bunch of this rigid tubing as you can see in the pics.

 

Those are pretty sweet and you could use them as maybe a hospital or QT tank. Or if you are into corals you use one as a frag tank to grow out frags....or just set up another display tank.

There are a lot of possiblities here.

Actually i was thinking more of a display tank but i guess i could do have enough for all 3 purposes, however, i only have one 55 fowlr left and im trying to downsize. So, i probably wont be needing a Hospital, QT, or frag growout. I also thought it might me cool to try to drill one and connect them so i have like a Fuge/sump while at the same time im doubling my water volume which will make a such a small setup very stable since i do have a large water volume and macroalgae growing.

 

How about this idea,
1. Put a tank or two in a how.
2. Send it it to me.

Honestly tho, great score you got there. Not sure the value, but definitely more tha you paid.

 

what are fish pedicures????

 

i think its when they put your feet in a tub with a bunch of fish that nibble on your dead/dry skin?

 

If I'm not mistaken, I believe its when those little carp fish eat the dead skin off your toes. lol

Oh and yeah, great haul! lol. I would love to start up one of those.

 

i saw it featured on a talkshow... i believe the fish ate the dead skin off of feet? they nibbled on em, and did something. i can't remember exactly. weird though, right?;D
