I got a JOB!!!

Grats on starting the job, I am happy for you but I am also jealous. I had a awesome job offer from a phone company when I was to graduate from college. They wanted to move me to Texas and give me a company house and car, then alas 9/11 happened the stock market went splat and they pulled their offer. I was supposed to start at 120 grand a year.

They were going to hire me to hack their security systems, break them down, and reprogram them.

Now though, I am a Information Technology Specialist. I pretty much touch on all aspects of the information systems field dealing with security; and system engineering, design and implementation; and managing a VOIP phone system; and many other odd and strange things most people don't think of. Oh, not to mention, I get treated like a help desk guy as well. I'm over worked and underpaid but nobody wants to pay anyone what they are worth these days considering I make a quarter of that previous job offer I was talking about. I am mainly stacking all the job experience I can. If you don't have a degree it doesn't matter what you are capable of unless you have a bunch of experience. I do have a degree but it is an associates in computer programming and... well we can see how much of that I do with my job(none).

Anyway, I really am happy for you and I am glad you ended up landing a awesome job. You will be taken care of. Congratulations on starting the new job!
