Dr. Roy suggests 100 Liter tank so that would make it... roughly 25 gallons.

yeah for a decent mansion. i have kept my mantises in 15 gallon AGAs and even one in a 3 gallon picotope and he thrived! as long as there is room for him to roam about and enjoy himself I dont see a reason why 10 gallons isnt plenty large. my 6 inch G. Smithii lives in my 15 gallon fuge and is always exploring and re-arranging things to his liking, he eats well, and has a funny personality. as long as you can keep good water quality, the size of the tank is up to you IMO, just make sure he has room to run around and be happy.

LOL I didn't say it was a law. I was just quoting what I read. So glad it worked out for you. Me personally, I'd never risk a peacock in a 10g. Even if it was built by AGA. And if your gonna spend the money to beef up the bottom and down low on the sides you might as buy a 29 and not worry about it imo.

make sure you feed snails/and or crabs for him to smash....he is a smasher/spearer and have heard that they can loose their smashers if not used. I would give Bob a live turbo about 1 a week (sometimes more because I enjoyed watching him smash them) I would start with hermits and cerith snails to start as he is just a baby

I hear him knockin around in the rock already, and I have seen a few hermits i missed, so I guess he'll be ok for now. I'm gonna try some fresh shrimp and see if he comes out and eats.
