do you have any bacteria in a bottle? I might add some in addition to some sand and another piece of live rock......

 

Have you tried to bring down the ammonia? The lr may help a little but may have to change water more often.

 

Thanks. I took a filter sponge and put that inside a pvc piece so I should be ok there. I think....

 

yeah just water changes. I looked at my notes. Im doing 5-10g every 48 hours. Its a 30g QT

Im assuming its stress; Stinks cause already lost 2 fish since I started the QT. And I feel like Im doing it right.

Remember the rock is going to absorb the copper, this will mess with your levels and that particular rock is no longer appropriate for a reef tank.

Fish not eating in a QT being treated with copper makes me think the value is too high, what is the value? If you're around .5 back off to .3

 

Had the funeral for Dave tonight. Kids were upset. My 5 year old cried in bed tonight saying she misses Dave. Sad but my 5 year old is a little dramatic.

Update my fish still aren't eating.

I would do a 100% WC ,and if possible get an HOB on it ..Any trace of ammonia is too much,it has to be at 0,and there is probably some in it from the dead fish
