thanks. Yeah me too. Somehow I committed to getting another yellow tang and naming it "Dave II". haha lets hope she forgets.
    But....
I have 2 girls 4&5 and an 8 yr old boy. All aware and involved in this ich process which makes them think about the fish. I have my son helping me do the water tests. all in all Im happy to have my kids interested in this. Just sad Ive lost 2 fish so far.

well, it sounds like you are doing the right things so that you won't experience this again - it is great that your kids are involved.

I'm at .25. With the API test kit sorta hard to tell. I'm partially colorblind so had my wife and kids help. Between .25 and .50. Shading ( no pun) to .25.
I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing and leading blind.

Sorry to hear about your loss. It is difficult to handle and after going through the same thing you are, I have 2 weeks of fallow time in the DT/observation time left. I've learned my lesson on doing QT from now before anything goes in my DT. Sounds like you are on the right track though so don't feel too lost. .25 isn't bad, I know the fish aren't eating but I would try to get to .30 but I'm not exactly sure how accurate those API test kits are. You have any garlic or selcon you can add to the food that you are feeding the fish while they are in QT? Garlic usually helps to entice their appetite some. It can be hit or miss though.

Very frustrated. Another fish on it's side dying. Thought having a QT was solve my problems. Not make them worse. I change water 5g per game and water levels are out of control. So frustrated wondering why in doing this. Attached to fish that are dying and I can't stop it

How much/often are you changing water? I think at this point that's the only way to bring down ammonia.

    Everyday!
I did put an old sponge inside PVC pipe for bacteria and maybe that's the issue. Took that out. I also boiled PVC pieces to clean them. Could that be it. This isn't rocket science. Shouldn't be that hard. Copper still .25. What else?
Did something that will cost me all this time. I put this fish dying back in display. Immediately came back to life. Within 5 minutes. Fully understand I could have wasted all this time but I'm literally watching fish die and don't know why.
