    how long duz it take 4 55gal tank with live rock in it to fully mature?

    well fully mature and a cycle are completely different, is the live rock from someone elses system? how many pounds? it takes about 4 weeks for a system to be ready for fish, but a full maturity norm. takes around a year or so, thats one of the reasons you cant get a mandarin until around the 6 month mark but everything is still leveling off and the tank is still changing.

    oo well i got cured live rock. bought it from LFS had allot of purple algae on it and allot of hitchhickers to. i got a mandrin goby at like 2 months lol and he seems fine and heather all my levels in tank are good exept my ph is 8.8 :( i must do water change tomarrow :eek:

    I would say thats probably a bit early to get a mandarin...if you had pods on the rock he probably ate them already as they probably didnt have enough time or the right conditions to multiply. I would start putting live pods into the tank or fuge, if not you might starve your mandarin
