they said my water is fine for fish :D their results were the same as mine ammonia, .25, nitrite .05 and she tested all of the others and said since it was in the 10% and under range that it is safe for fish. And with my water being stable at this rate i think i will buy my CUC first, i had submitted a custom form from reefcleaners. Once i pay of my credit card some, i think i will go ahead and buy them. I don't think i have enough flow yet for the fish, since i only have two maxijett 1200 powerheads, and i plan to get a mod for one of them so i can have higher flow I also got a air valve at a hardware store for my skimmer so i will try to run it this weekend.

So i guess my cycling is finally over!

i would not add any fish with a reading of nitrite at .05 safe levels are 0, i would not add anything till it hits 0 IMO

I would also wait till your ammonia a nitrite are zero. with those numbers you are still in your cycle.

when i get my skimmer running this weekend, maybe it will filter all the last little bit out and bring the results down to 0

it will help but a skimmer doesn't remove ammonia and nitrite. You are basically waiting for the biological(bacteria) to kick in when it does your nitrite will go to zero and this is usually when you will see a jump in nitrates. Nitrite is also harmful to your fish, although not quite as toxic as ammonia. In a healthy fish tank, another type of bacteria will grow that change nitrite into nitrate, which is harmless to your fish.

this is how people can tell on older tanks if there is a problem with the biological filter(not enough live rock ect) if there are any nitrites present. But with that being said it is perfectly normal on a new system.

I'm just wanting some confirmation, but I feel it'd be ok to go ahead and add the CUC when you can. We had 2 snails, a mexican turbo and a smaller guy, survive throughout our whole cycle. I think a CUC would be fine to add right now, because inverts don't effect your bioload much at all, so your tank will finish up without a big gap in time. You can add your CUC when you can, and then once you have zeros across the board you can add fishy number 1! :D

    Confirmation on this?

Oh and fish don't need high flow. They can live in no/low flow, or high flow. Your flow is mainly for the corals.
