most nems dont go on the sandbed, only a few carpets and even then they would prefer the rocks

from what i have read and heard that lta's usually prefer a sand bed, overnight the nem moved to the middle of the tank, he has a little bit of his foot on the right rocks and a little on the left and has sunk the majority of his foot deep in the sand bed..so i had to move the toadstool, which im cool with cuz that nem is the perfect centerpiece for my tank..it has plenty of room to grow and be happy with my clowns..

now i gotta place the toadstool in the right area of the tank..

and i got plenty of rock if its wants to move it will..but i got plenty of light and water conditions so im gonna let mother nature take course..

i 100% agree..the nem moved a couple inches..and i think is set for good..i got rid of a bta because it never would stop moving..regardless flow, lighting, no changes in params or temp and it still moved...got rid of it and got that condy, and it never moved..now i have the lta and i think i will have no trouble with it..

maybe the bta was unhealthy but it didnt look like it was..

it looks like they are on the sand bed but they are actually attached to the rock beneath the sandbed and they like the sand to cover their foot.

yeah so i just got home from class and it has not moved, and is even farther down so it looks like it is latched on for good..the nem has yet to start hosting the clowns but im sure it will happen soon..the nem is plenty big for the two to host together and shouldnt hurt the nem, that was the main reason i went with the larger lta over a bta or something else even though i wish i could have gotten a carpet, just dont have the room in a 30 gallon to do it..but i will have a few when i upgrade after i graduate and get out on my own..
