    Hey! Went to my second meeting of the Local club tonite and came home with a small pulsing xenia and a SMALL red zoo colony! It has about 10 polyps but the whole thing is not bigger than a quarter! LOL It is so cute! So I have officially participated in Fragging!!!! Maybe I will post pics tomorrow!

    Congrats BL!! I'm going to a coral propagation workshop being held by the DFWMAS (http://dfwmas.com for those around here) this coming weekend. They are going to sit all of us down with tools, a video and corals to frag! We get to bring frags home (yay!!) and can even purchase our own fragging kit! I'm excited!!! [smiley=biggrinbounce.gif]

    Hey BL check out the xenia in my gallery. I also got it about 2 weeks ago. Wow that thing is amazing! I can just watch it pulse its so cool. They dont ship well and mine looked pretty bad. Put at the bottom of the tank and add twice the recomended dose of iodide and that thing will take off. Mike grew an inch since I got it. Of course I recomend testing your iodine b4 adding ;). When I was in Portland I talked to Woody at the Seahorse FS. He has awesome prices and a great selection. I overheard him telling some guys to dose as much as 5 times the recomended amount of Iodide and your soft corals will explode with growth. If you dose too much your algea will also explode everywhere. I have to admit it did my corals a world of good. Some looked droopy and unhealthy and after only 1 day of dosing they looked much much better. The xenia jumped right up. Im sure everyone already knows about Iodide and I am just learning so.........just FYI   :)

    Thanks for the info...I did not know about the iodine for softies.... ;)

    Yeah, the clubs are a good deal! I only paid $10 for the 2 pieces....he only wanted 5 but......

    Mine both opened right up and look real good. The guy I got them from did say they don't ship very well! So I am lucky!

    You're xenia looks good BTW!

    Why don't you start one? That's what we did here in CT. We started about 3 years ago and the club has grown significantly since then. We started a post on Reef Central asking who was from Connecticut and took it from there. Best thing that ever happened to me in this hobby :)

    I guess I could find some clubs in Kennewick or Spokane.
