I have decided this is the fish. Everything says it's a peaceful fish and I think it would be fine with my fishies(they are ok with my fish??) How readily available are these wrasses and can anyone tell me about their behaviour?

Mine is a Hawaiian Flame wrasse..."Cirrhilabrus jordani"

What you are looking at here is a "Cirrhilabrus lineatus," also known as a Lined Fairy wrasse.

Fairly hard to get...but my LFS generally has them for sale...but expensive.

    See at: Lineatus Fairy Wrasse
Their listed price is $249.00 -

Will ask my lfs what he sells them for.

Flasher and Fairy Wrasses are very vibrant both colorwise and pattern/style wise as well. Unfortunately many of these are not found at local pet shops with any regularity. Because of this your better of ordering one of these beauties online. Many of the Flasher and Fairy Wrasses do command a high price however as Omard stated.
Best of luck and ley us know what kind you go with if it is still a reality for you!

Man that's expensive! Holy Moly never thought to see that price. Wow I probably won't be getting another fish because most seem to be agressive.

No, Fairy and Flasher Wrasses are known for their mild demeanor!
Go for it and get onthe bandwagon- get one and you won't be disappointed IMO!

Oh I so would but I just can't spend $249 on a fish that could die and if they are hard to come by in the US then they are impossible here. My hubby had to special order a yellow watchman goby! The livestock you have available is so amazing. I have never seen a sexy shrimp or harlequins sold out here and when they do it's quite pricey. Bloodshrimp $39 plus %14 tax. My yellow tang was $50. It's crazy, in BC it's alot cheaper but not Ontario.

Talk to Jason or some of those club members up in the great north!
I'd assume it would be easy to ship across canada :)
