I have been considering a calcium reactor and I just cant seem to figure out the logic of how ond is set up and works! I have looked at the coralife, and it says you need media and c02.Will someone please explain this in laymans terms, so if I were to purchase one I know what Im in for.

Aragonite dissolves at low pH levels. When it dissolves, Calcium, alkalinity, and Magnesium go into solution in the water (which is pumped into the reef tank).

The most common cause of low pH is high Carbon Dioxide levels. So to get the carbon dioxide levels high in the Calcium Reactor, you have a scuba tank filled with CO2 that is injected into the water of the reactor.
