    :(

Got back in town today and walked into my office to a smelly tank. Looked around and found the Soho Tang dead. He seemed fine, maybe hiding a little more than usual on Tuesday when I was last in the office. Up to that point had been a fat and happy guy. The boss of the tank. He was behind a rock and immediately floated to the surface all bloated. That could mean it was something bacterial. Coincidentally the tank was due for it's monthly service today by my LFS, and all the water parameters are spot on. The corals and all the other fish are all happy. I guess it was one of those things. ::)

    RIP

Well that sucks!! I hate loosing fish. The worst part is now the whole balence of your tank is off. And it will be hard to introduce another. Hope nothing else is wrong, and sorry to hear of your loss,

Bummer. I'm sorry for your loss.

Didn't this happen last year too when you came back from a trip?

Man, no more trips for you. Your fish just can't handle the separation anxiety.
Sorry, for your loss. Hopefully you can find something else that will enjoy a good long life.

I'm on the road all the time, but it sure seems to be the case. ::)

Oh well, I liked that boy, but with a couple dozen fish between all the tanks at any one time I guess I have to expect the occasional death. Aside from the big crash almost 2 years ago (good memory inwall. Time flies eh?) when I was off on vacation for 2 weeks, I don't tend to kill fish. Maybe 1 or 2 a year. Since the crash this makes 3 I recall including a jumper.

Oh well, I've been growing a purple tang in the sump for the office. I've been holding off on introducing him till he got larger because of the Soho. I guess I'll intorduce him on Monday and find another algae eater for the sump/propogation section.

sorry to hear about your Sohal Tang!!!
Because Tangs don't have scales..it may have been a parasite that led to its demise!!!! Are you going to replace it?
