I hate having to reaquascape

    i think i have to stir it up more often, i don't have anything that moves the sand bed around. I don't have any turbo snails so i'll give those a try. I have the blue legged hemrits and other snails but they havent been able to get the GHA down so i broke down and manually did it.

    as long as the gha is thin, the turbo snails will devour it...dont you worry and they are cheap. Just keep an eye on them cause they will not right themselves if they fall on their backs.

    Like I said, don't stir up the substrate. I would say most of us never do anything with the sand bed. Add 3 Nassarious snails if you want to keep it clean.

    so now that i can actually see in the tank there still is some GHA left on a few rocks but much less. hopefully the CUC will be able to get this little bit

    No, I thought you said you had nothing to stir up the sand?

    well no fish or anything like that. Think 9 is enough for a 3 inch sandbed?

    Plenty. If you want something for the surface of the substrate, add 2 or 3 Conch.
