when it comes to the tanks.

I came home tonight and could hear the pump on the 75 running near dry as soon as I walked through the front door. The tank is two rooms away from where the front door is. Not to mention I heard it over a living room half full of screaming/playing daycare kids.
How could she not have noticed a tank full of micro bubbles?
It's frustrating and I needed to get that out before there was a big ass fight here tonight.

FWIW the something plugged the drain line and there was just enough flow to keep the pump about half covered in water. Don't have a clue what the plug was because I couldn't find it when I pushed it through. That damn nerite that got in there months ago is my guess.

I have the opposite. My sister rents a room from me and the other night my horseshoe crab got stuck onto my mp40 and his tail was hitting the propeller. She knocked him off before I got home which was good. But sometimes I wonder what she does when I'm not there (feeding, hands in tank, ect...) Lol

Either way is kinda scary and frustrating :)

Glad you decided to vent your frustration here, because the tank situation would still be the same if she were gone. Not much point in fighting, it rarely ends with the desired results.

FWIW, you're not alone. My gf won't touch my tank (which does have pros as well as cons :)).

Sorry to hear that, i feel you though im on this journey alone. My gf takes it in stride. she loves the tanks and her beloved fish, but thats it. She looks at it for a min and thats good for her.

Kinda wish i had a P.I.C when it came to my tank so i could have another set of eyes to spot things like that. But just means i have to learn for the both of us.

Blowing up on ppl over something they dont understand, specially tanks, never ends well. They make it look like YOUR the bad one because your obsession gets the better of you... but we all know we just wanna flawless tank. Id let you box me to vent. but wed have to meet half way.

I agree, my wife knows nothing about the tank nor does she care to, yet my 10 year old daughter can name every coral and fish in there, so at least I can share with her. We had to shut down all the electrical the other day to get some work done, my wife called not knowing what to do, so she put my daughter on the phone and I asked her how she would shut down the tank and what she would look for, much to my surprise she described it step by step and ended with saying "I cant do it unless I have permission from you, or water is flowing out on the floor." I laughed told her good answer and told her she could shut it all off. I was so proud of her, I never thought she was really listening to what I said about the tank unitl then.
