I hate that my wife is oblivious to problems..

She's definitely still interested in the tanks and loves them. That doesn't mean she's a reef geek like me. She doesn't see things the same way as me or anyone who truly has saltwater running through their veins. I just wish she'd call me when things go so far away from normal as a pump filling the tank with air.

 

I have to say that I am thankful that the hubby and I are on the same page when it comes to the tanks! Sorry for you guys and gals that don't have it like us . We both do research and talk about the tank and ways to improve. I know how to do everything the tanks needs and I am the one who taught him about reefs and saltwater lol. I don't care how much money it takes to make sure the tank is at it's best at all times and neither does he. Course we are rare anyway- all of our hobby interests are the same- boats,camping,fishing,the tanks,breed of dog, our motorcycles,cars lol you name it... Wish you guys luck! And venting here was a good idea since I have actually divorces based on saltwater tanks lol

Sounds like us. This is his first tank. Of course, he doesn't listen to me about a lot of stuff, but so now when it comes to livestock he does...had to break him of going shopping alone & bringing "cool" stuff home that was going to die. The rest, he has to hear it from someone else to believe it

 

I know how you feel! But it's my fiance (male) who stinks at this. He is as lazy as humanly possibly with the tanks. Love him!! But argh. Annoying.

 

This KILLS me!! What is it about when we way something versus Joe Blow walking by and giving the same info? Oh he'll listen to good ole Joe!

 

IMO, (preface this by saying i love my 7 year old) if i was around a daycare with multiple yelling snotty nosed spoiled brats, all my concentration would be on is not going to jail for whapping one of them! certainly not on a tank!

 

my parents are so helpful some times its anoying. i am in class my phone starts ringing. i have 8 new notifications. lol so i go and look there is 4 pictures asking if my skimmer cup is too full (only 1/2 full). is it normal for hermit crabs to look in shells!!! and on and on.......

one day i was going to make her a account but then i released between my mom and dads questions the site would become backed up.

 

No no....I've been married for 3yrs (together 7).....I just play the game very well....and I have the coolest wife ever....lol
