I have hearing of a .... animal that.... ummm... hears very well! My husband has 55 year old professional musician hearing. Gotta admit, that bugs me, but it's not his fault. The noise of a tank glugging drives me insane.

Our 5 gallon buckets of saltwater are like socks in the washer.... one always goes missing. Someone HAS to be using them as topoffs, but no one will admit to it. I know it's not me because I can taste the water and give you a SG reading like a refractometer. But when I make 4 and then I go in and there are only 3... this has happened on numerous occasions.

I guess cuz Joe's a guy? I have no idea. Actually he did that with a guy friend of ours too. Apparently if you're a stranger you must be right, but if you're close like family, you can't possibly know what you're talking about!

My fiance when we first got into this wouldnt even touch anything. I had to go out of town for a week so I got her prepared. Now she empites the skimmer , does top offs when Im not home. Feeds the fish and even knows what to look for on the controller ...

My wife sometimes feeds them if I'm gone and ask her to. Otherwise, nadda, doesn't touch a thing. She will on rare occasion sit with me for a few minutes and watch the tank though. Maybe she'll get the bug one day. OH well

When I go out of town my husband says I am gonna have to pay him to take care of my tank, he thinks thats a lot of work. He helps me when it comes to plumbing something but other than that he just like to look at it.

I guess im one of the lucky ones. One day awhile back when the tank was new it somehow overflowed and the pump was running dry. Anyway she called me and let me know that the tank was filled with bubbles then said that she had already un plugged it so then i gave her instruction on what to do from there to get some power heads and lights back on.
