I hate thieves! Hope they OD! (UPDATED!)

UPDATE! Some light may still shine at the end of the tunnel! Check my last post on this thread for info!

Tonight my wife locked herself out of the car and called me to bring her the key. So I get in my car, and I notice a bunch of cables laying around on the passenger sit, glove compartment open, all my stuff that didn't have value scattered around the floor. My stereo is gone, along with the music CD I had in it, also from the trunk, the camping tent and air mattress I used for camping at Indiana this year, a car code checking machine (the ones that plug in the car computer and extracts the codes)... even my jumper cable set was gone!!
All the plastic trim around the stereo was shattered to pieces and apparently they pulled so hard on the cables that messed something up inside. Now my turn signals won't work.

The car was parked right in front of my house, under a very bright street light and I can't stop thinking of how did I not hear anything?

I was up until 5 or 5:30 am last night, I can't believe I didn't hear a thing!!!

I really hope the money they get from what they took from me is used for hard drugs and that they freaking get what they deserve! A major overdose!
There's nothing lower from my point of view than a thief. I wish I could have caught him doing it... I really would like to go back in time and just wait for him/them.

I really hope it does... I'm very, VERY upset. Called the cops and they asked me if I saw when it happened and if I could give a description. Do they really think I would let them rob me just so I could have a good look at them? They said they can file a report, but that's pretty much it.

 

Yeh thieves really chap my rearend! They'll get what's coming to them.

 

We had a bunch of stuff stolen from our garage a few years back... Kids eventually got caught robbing the neighbors house. Needless to say they found my fathers stuff already sold on ebay and sent... Need less to say the Kids lifes are messed up right now.

Sorry to hear about this. Hope the police can catch them. Not defending them, but you never know what someone else is going through.

Keep your hopes up that you can get some of your stuff back!

 

Lame. I would make sure the police have the serial number of the radio, and check the local pawn shops. That's another way they can help. Our local police recovered my laptop from a guy's locker. The guy who took it had it for a week, but didn't know what to do with it since it had a fingerprint scanner and TPM.

 

Yeah, if only I had the serial number. I had it in a box that got thrown away the last time I moved, 3 years ago.
I hope they catch them, I really do. I don't think that if they're going through a rough patch, stealing is going to get them out. I'm going through a very long time of unemployment... 10 months and still counting and nobody will ever see me stealing from other people because I have no money. I'll borrow money, I take a loan, but never steal.

I really couldn't care less for what they're going through, KC... it doesn't justify anything in my eyes. I used to work for $28 an hour, maybe for many isn't a lot, but for me is more than I've ever made in an hour. When I got laid off from work and eventually permanently fired because of lack of work I went out and applied everywhere. Even Mcdonalds got my application... anything but stealing

I know these things happen, I just can't get over the fact that it happened to me and that I was probably awake, reading or posting stuff here while it happened, that fills me with rage. I swear, I would have given anything to catch them while they were doing it.

Well... sorry for this posts, I'm really upset about the whole deal.

That sucks. Thieves suck.

I had a hacker take down several of my websites today and nuke the SQL databases. Thank goodness for backups.

 

HEY!!! I found the serial number!! Maybe there's still hope!
It was inside the stereo box, that was inside two other boxes!
I'll call and give it to the cops and see if it turns up anytime.
