    I got stung 2 times by a yellow jacket today:angry::( hurts A LOT!

    Ugh yellowjackets are awful. I got stung a couple years ago, had an allergic reaction, had to get a tetanus shot because of the sting and developed a deep tissue infection from the sting. Fun!

    No Seano he probably means yellow jacket, believe it or not there is a difference :) bee and hornet are just general terms people use :p

    A yellow jacket is like a wasp but builds its nest in the ground. They are a community wasp and as such are very aggressive. Their home being in the ground makes them particularly hard to eradicate. When I was a kid we dumped gas down their hole and blew them up. Now they have foaming wasp sprays that cover the entrance. A lot less fun but probably safer.
