stuff happens, I woke up saterday and discovered the front pane of my sump cracked, the crack extends all the way through 3 of the 4 baffles. I tried the seal the crack to prevent leaks but had to drain it today as it lost about 2 gallons overnight last night and the floor squished as I walked past it.
I guess I'm gonna learn how to replace a pane of glass this week cause I cant afford to buy another tank till I find a job :(

Good luck on the job hunt, my friend. Believe me I feel your pain being laid off since late December. I've done some independent little jobs, but nothing serious. Just keep at it, buddy. Things will get better when you're persistent enough. I'm actually starting to think of getting back in fast food joint for now. Minimum wage is still better than no wage.

Seriously... the BEST of lucks to you!

For every broken tank there is a new build thread.

lol, luckily it's just my sump and not the DT!

As for the job search i'm not at the point of going back to fast food but there is a help wanted sign in the window of one of the LFS's. It's not the best store in town but it is doing maint on their salt water tanks, most of wich have aptasia issues in spades!

I'll be rooting for you to get the LFS job for sure! That would be very cool indeed!
And btw I'm sorry about your sump wreck. Are you cutting out the whole broken pane?

I think so, I think the cracks goes all the way into the seal and cutting it out and replacing it is the only way to fix it. I got to cut the plumbing so I can get the tank out of the closet and see the damages first.

GD hope that goes well for you! Kinda makes my tank look minor. I'd be flipping out if my sump broke. I feel for you man!
