Thanks. That stinks he jumped out. I do have an opening so I'll have to cover it.
My QT is a 30g and both these are less than an inch long. I did consider two at a time and even asked LFS is be an issue.
So Hawkfish don't get ich that often? Interesting.
    Thanks for the reply.

With the Brooklynella that seems to be popping up everywhere here recently, I would keep the fish in the QT long enough to make sure that threat is eliminated. Just my .02

I agree. But help me because I'm new to brook. How long and how should I do QT to prevent that?
Does seem odd how many have had that lately

also would be interested in that. I am going to do some more research on it as well. My first fish is in QT right now. Acting very healthy and eating fine. Today is day 8 for him.

Brooke is just another parasite similar to Ich but thousand time more deadly and kills super quick with not much you can do once it sets hold. Your QT practice is exactly the same for brooke as is for all others parasites diseases etc. I think it was just pointed out because (trust us) you do not want this introduced into your display tank especially when you have a full tank of expensive fish. Early in my days, I did not QT and got Brooke so now I ALWAYS QT and go like 6 weeks in QT. Yes, it is very hard to wait and be patient but those who had the unfortunate experience with this parasite would not think twice about waiting that long. It could be a little shorter but an extra few weeks is really nothing. It took one of my QT fish a little over 2 weeks to display velvet (I would say similar to Ich) so I was happy did not rush into display. Fish are pulled from the wild and could have one small singular parasite on it and could take weeks to get to point where it starts to show signs as the parasite mutiplies, this is why you wait it out in QT. Also, I love QTing because you can actually see the fish geting acclimated and getting stronger from the shipping stress. It needs to be at its healthiest when introduced to an established tank that may not get along right away with its new housemates.

I got Prazi-Pro today. You use this all the time? Pull carbon out? I'll have to read directions

Everytime I get a new fish I will use it in quarantine. Take the carbon out. Read the bottle for the amounts. Do two doses a week or two apart.
