a little about polymer science-Polymer science or macromolecular science is the subfield of materials science concerned with polymers, primarily synthetic polymers such as plastic. The field of polymer science includes researchers in multiple disciplines including chemistry, physics, and engineering. polymer scientists or polymer engineers invented kevlar bullet proof vests, tons of different plastics, play doh, silly puddy.. We also deal with certain wires, and ways to keep the currents going through them without power still running to them, and alot of different things.. I didnt know much about it either, but its def something i couldnt stop thinking about.. it was a really fun major..alot of labs and hands on..

haha Feel ya on that. I am an Architecture Major and plan on a marine biology degree after my Arch Grad Degree.

 

yeah i wish i could have done architecture.. its just soooo hard to get into LSUs architecture school or i would have... its ridiculously hard and you gotta know someone to get in..


but within 6-7 years i plan on having my marine biology degree

 

Congrats! These are indeed the best years of your life! I always hated older people telling me that because life seemed so tough at the time. But I figured out life is always tough.... but when you're older you have to go through it in an older body.

It's a TON of work. On our what to buy for class list, our professor put Army cot. hahaha I already used it more than I should. I think I sleep more in the studio than in my apartment.

Yeah, I would just go straight for a marine bio degree, but Ohio is kinda landlocked. lol

Congratulations! It really is a great accomplishment and a degree is something you will always have and will always be valuable. Good for you, you fought hard and conquered your own demons while almost giving up. I guarantee you will not regret it.
