I was looking in my tank today and discovered that I have fry, at first I thought they were fish but they seem to be some sort of shrimp, I think.

Will Cleaner shrimp mate in captivity. I have had two for 3 or 4 months and some of them look to have red on the tops with a white dot on it's head. The one I managed to capture seems clear though and it seems like there is a whole bunch hiding in one piece of live rock.

I also have pods in the tank but they don't look the same.

Can anyone verify what these may be..

    Thanks for the help

Look like Mysid shrimp to me, lucky you.. They are extreemly expensive to buy and if you can get keep them breeding in your tank you have a really good "free" food supply.

Do you have a fuge so you can move them someplace safe? This could give you an unlimited food source if the made it to adulthood. I know I pay a crap ton for frozen ones, so much that they've become a "treat".

agreed Mysis, can hatch from eggs in frozen food even. Fun to watch scurry around, but hard to catch.
