These first 3 links are diffrent pic's of the same thing.... I have no clue as to what it is but it appears to split open in the middle and stick out of my rock. Then when i get close to it, it closes and scoots deeper into the rock.

I am thinking it is some type of aptasia. Cant tell but majeno (sp) aptasia. These are pests and should be removed. Get some kalk powder or Joes Juice and apply directly to the mouth. Do not pull them as that will make them spread.

However my majeno are more green so maybe someone else will chime in!

The first ones are Ark Clams, probably in the genus Arca. There are several different species that are similar, so you'd have to extract it to ID it to the species level. It's a filter feeder, and should be harmless in your tank.

Can't tell enough about the second one to make a good guess.

    Cheers,
