    Im pleased to announce i will be upgrading my 6 month old 90 gallon tank already. I got one hell of a deal on a brand new marineland tank with monterey stand and canopy. Its a 300 gallon and i will picking this puppy up this sunday. It has starphire front glass with the 2 corner overflows. Ill be sure to take pics when shes home...lol Its the deep dimension one:

    WOW! awesome did you think about lighting that sucker before you bought it? lol and the size of the PS you'll need???

    We actually looked at that tank, It would be a cool open top! Only, and these were my exact words, "I could never afford to light it!"

    Yeah, im gonna go 3 of these for lighting (250 watters)

    prolly the 8 x 36" for actinics with the 2 icecap 660's...gonna throw some moon lights on there also. Ill start with that stuff and see if i need more, gonna do mostly softies and stuff so should work well. For a protein skimmer this is the one im going with:Warner Marine Research Protein Skimmers - Salty Critter

    I'd spend the extra and get the AS 400, since it's a 300 gallon tank.

    the as300 is for a 400 gallon tank. There is no as400

    AS-400 is a computer program that Sunbelt Rentals and United Rentals uses lol...I know it well:)

    Its an awesome tank, the only battle i have won is circulation, i have a vortech mp20 and mp40 and 2 tunze 6045's, 2 more mp20s and ill be set. lol, this is gonna take a while...
