$300 for a complete boat with engine, radio, etc? Cheap. It's fiberglass and normally the boat goes for $160 alone. I have about $400 in each of my planes, one is still in progress and I expect it to be around $1,000 all in.

Well I meant in general, as in to be spent on one item it seems like a lot. But it does include everything..

I guess I have expensive tastes or am out of touch  I spent more than that on one powerhead for my tank, though. So I guess compared to what I put in my tank it's cheap.

boats are awesome. Plain and simple, SUPER fun. If you would like to get an entry level boat, I can recommend one to you.

The miss Vegas Deuce. Its an awesome RTR (ready to run) boat, and will get you into r/c nitro at right around 300.00. I have the first version of that boat, and bought it solely to play around with. I also had about 5 .21 tunnel hulls at the time, with NO LESS then 800.00 into each one. The miss vegas was just a "beater" boat if you will, one I didnt care much about. I modded a few things, modded the motor, did some sponson work on it, and holy crap. That thing came along! (good news, the Deuce already as most of the sponson work I did, now factory on the boat) I bet its a mid 40 mph boat. Not super fast, but not bad either! It really scoots, and is a BLAST.

Ide be happy to help you with any questions you may have. If you do end up with it, there is a few things that you need to make sure to do on a regular basis, but lets concentrate on getting the boat first :)

Jesus how fast do these things go? For being RC I would def. consider 40mph as fast. :p I am easily amused, I guess one could say.
