I think you're just being to picky. I bet over 90 percent of people in the hobby are currently stuck in a tank smaller than they want, but it's what we love so it doesn't matter. I hate to be the voice of tough love here, but I think you should stop whining, set up a nano and remember that this hobby isn't all about how many gallons your tank holds, how big your fish room is or what equipment you run.

Well if times goes on too long, then that could be an option. It would have to be small as to not be a big deal to move, or be a hinderance when we put the house back on the market.

I was spoiled with the little fish closet. Putting it all under a stand... which I understand the vast majority of peeps do will be a bummer with no room.

Be careful collecting things ahead of time. You may THINK at the time it's a good deal, but you might end up not needing it at all.... then it's money wasted.

We were setting up a 100g Reef tank.... no doubt about it. Saw a great deal on some lights and snapped them up at $700. Now, the tank is actually NOT going to be a tank that requires HQI+T5s. *sigh*

This has happened to be a couple of times now *double sigh*

Any one wanna buy a light? LOL!

Good points. And it also adds to my reluctance of getting a small tank, because nothing will be able to carry over... perhaps a Apex and corals of course. But there are usually setups for cheap. I'm more on the look out for a tank I might like. If I saw one I would get it for the future.
