    My xenia died hes sitting right next to my frogspawn about 4 inches away from him... i read somewhere that frogspawns are not good for xenia's they have a certain chemical that they produce that kills the xennia?? is this true? please help- my tank conditions are perfect nothing is too high.. temp is just right...

    Could be the sweeper tentacles from the frogspawn stung it to death. Probably not chemical warfare, probably flat out zapped it. On my frogspawn I saw its sweepers come out every now and then, and they were a good 4-5 inches long. Keep other corals away from it, it's pretty but can definitely kill / sting other corals.

    the thing is the frogspawn is new... so he is still not acclimated to my tank... so he reall doesnt come out.. maybe at night but they are pretty far from each other and the frog is about 3 inches higher on the rock... i dont know do corals have chemicals to kill other corals...

    I keep torch and xenia in the same tank without problems.
    They do have chemicals. But that's not what happened. Its sweeper tentacles got it. You should keep at least 8" between euphyllia's and other corals due to the sweepers.

    Sweepers zapped it, not chemicals.
