I hope I can keep a Mandarin... Because I bought one

    He does look a little skinny and his fins are a little beat up but that is because a damsel that I had in the tank was picking on him (actually I think the mandarin is a girl because the dorsal spine is so short ) but anyway the damsel is out of the reef and I am seeing the Mandarin more and more around the tank. Hey quick question when she eats something and then blows the stuff out her gills does that mean she is eating??

    My mandarin is one my favorite fish too. My tank is about a year old and I added the Mandarin about 2 months ago. My tank is a 92 gal corner tank with about 95lb of LR. I was a little concern at first whether my tank had enough food to keep the fish alive. After 2 months, I think it is doing okay. It still does not want to come out in the open much. Here is one of those rare moments.
