bubble algae.bad.emerald crab or red mithrax crabs eat them.well it depends on the crab.i had one and he didnt eat it.now i got a new one and he eats it.or you can grab tweezers and try to pull it out.but make sure it doesnt pop if it does it helps spreads faster.

And dont "pop" those bubbles inside your tank or they will spread like crazy.

Agreed, if you can pull the rock and clean them off that's your best approach.. Yes a emerald or red mithrix should eat them but their also sloppy eaters and they'll pop them too

Will that kill all the other life on there?

I was thinking of taking the out and surgically remove (man with a knife ;D) the cancerous algae so as not to harm anything else.

I have had some bubble algae in my tank for months now. It came in on a piece of rock I got, but my tank is so new that it cant support it so it hasn't spread. I have heard nothing but horror stories about this algae. I think it looks kinda cool. ;D
