it looks nice, I'd probably get some more frags to grow out and sell when your tank gets really crowded ;D

I think that's probably the better point is I went with numbers instead of size. I think I would have been happier buying 8-10 good sized items instead of all these small frags.

I can't find a good symmetry in the tank, the new rock has necessitated that I ditch my horse shoe design I had going. I may end up pulling out some of the small rock in exchange for one bigger rock that I can bring my design back into place.

I had those damn frag plugs, just slightly less than the ugly white epoxy. I understand that with growth much of that will be obscured. combine that with the stark white of the new rock just had me irked (even though it is all of my own doing).

    Thanks!

The only thing that's really spreading is that Kenya, I had to get rid of three of those this week. I understand the "weed" comment more and more as I own this thing.

Problem is it would cost you more in shipping than any one of them are worth

Nonsense! I think you could put quite a few more frags in there. Just make sure they have enough room to grow when considering a spot for them. Not too close from other aggressive corals, not too far from the peaceful ones.

I think it looks good, Steve34. I think that the "crowding point" is up to each reefer. If you think it's crowded it will get worse when they grow, so it may be a good idea to get them out now, before they fully start growing on any piece of rock. You could combine the different types of zoas into one multicolored zoo frag. Make sure you put a couple of polyps of each one, and let it take off. I like combo frags.

Ultimately I hope to have a larger tank by the time growth becomes a major issue.

I need to take a step back and re-arrange some things. Part of my issue is because I've anchored a few items each to a fair sized rock so it makes stacking and rebuilding difficult because of the frag placements. It may take removing frags from some rocks as you suggest then just mixing them onto one which I agree will look pretty good once they fill in.

Yeah, I know what you're saying. I'm having this issue with a few acros that grew onto the big pieces of live rock and this is the only reason why I haven't really re aquascaped my tank. I would hate to kill this new growth and possibly future new mini colony... but you know... when you're not happy with your scape... nothing will change your mind. I suggest that whatever you do, is what will make you happy. After all, it is your tank and it needs to make YOU happy.

Hi, I'm Rick, and I started on coral a month ago....

Any chance of prying those frags off the plugs and gluing them right to the rock? That would clean it up a lot and make it look more natural.

I agree, a month or two and things will look a lot better. I'm having a really hard time with that whole "patience" concept myself right now.

I think it looks pretty good Steve! I agree some of the frag plugs aren't the prettiest, but give it time...Go slow, Let it Grow!!

I think it looks good also will be full!! when it all grows out though. :) when i got my new rock i had to pry a few of my frag plugs off and paste them else where to make it all work.

That's part of the reason I've kept things so segregated on individual rocks so that one item, if it becomes invasive, I don't have to kill it to ensure something elses health.

doing a quick count, there are four of the plugs that I think i can do that with without major consequence. and I think that will let me have a much more natural look.

It doesn't help that I have some of the new frags anchored to blinding white rock with purple epoxy so it makes the artificial look stand out even more.

is it ok to mix zoas and palys on the same rock without the paly crushing out the zoa?

 I went a little drama queen yesterday when things didn't look quite as I hoped they would but I've recouped with the good advice and kind words I've gotten in this thread.

This just makes me want a bigger tank damn it.
