i just got a refugium and i dont know much about it

Welcome to 3reef. I would run the refugium light opposite the DT lights to help keep your pH more steady.

 

The pro plan is to run a reverse lighting, i get lazy and leave my chateo lit for days because actually plugging my timer in a is like 45 second of work... psshhhh i aint got no 45 seconds! I do notice it grows faster when I do remember to shut it off for a day, and my GHA problem responds accordingly. Get a cheap light from Lowes/Home Depot in the 6500k range since marine plants need more blue spectrem. Get chaeto not calurpa since chaeto doesn't go sexual. Those are my tips. Oh, and throgh all your crabs in a fuge so that they dont murder all your snail for fun. I call it the Goulag.
