    IME most little fish seem to have trouble with pellets, and many fish just seem to chew them a bit then spit them out then eat them again, i'm guessing working it into a smaller piece.

    But ya should always feed a variety of foods if ya can, some frozen mysis, a quality flake as well, mine love the instant ocean gel food.

    i would try frozen mysis an see if they eat it. then everyonce in a while throw in some pellets. its always good to switch up the food everyonce in a while.

    you could soak the pellets for a few mins before feeding. should be easier for them to chew
