I MADE A MISTAKE! i assumed that since my six line wrasse doesn't bother my skunk cleaner shrimps it would also be ok with some peppermints. i managed to get one of the two i purchased out and into my fuge. Man does that sixline persist it really wants to eat the other and i can't seem to pull it out. the peppermint is holding its own for now but the wrasse comes up and does a suprise attack and pecks at it. I fed some krill to hopefully distract the sixline from the newcomer and give me some time to think.

any chance it will be ok? i got them to help with an aptasia problem. also since i have one in my fuge do i have to feed it, or will it find enough in the fuge?

I am not sure it is looking at the peppermint as food, sixlines are extremely aggressive about harassing anything new and smaller than them. Getting the peppermint out is a good idea.

I think your shrimp will find enough in the fuge.. He should be ok..

Um your shrimp on the dt on the other hand needs to be out or he might not make it.

I had the same problem but this was with my engineer goby.. He ate 3 of mine ( $30dollar meal >.< )

You should have introduced them at night when the wrasse is sleeping. The shrimp would have a chance to get settled. And in the meantime, you fed the wrasse....shrimp??? Not sure, but that may be why the Sixline has a taste for shrimp.

I had the same problem, everything new that I put in the DT my six line would attack and kill to include a twin spot goby peppermint shrimp and a royal gramma. After that it was time for him to go back to the FS. With that being said I would get the peppermint out and into your fuge.

I dont know if it was just my fuge set or what. But I had a peppermint shrimp in mine that died. I had my skimmer set up where the intake from the DT was. I hope yours makes it

well i checked today and i have two that seem just fine. the sixline leaves the one in my DT alone now, and the one in my fuge seems to be fine too. it likes to get into my baffles on the one side of the sump but cant go anywhere. on one side the water pours down so it couldnt go against that much water and the return pump side i have a few staggerd layers of eggcrate to ensure nothing gets on the pump side
