For me there was nothing like LEAVING Texas. Middle of summer. One million degrees. No trees. No rain. Dirt. Spent two weeks there and was skipping onto the plane at the end. I tell ya. Ya'll are a special breed. I like rain and snow. Cold, cold, cold. Alaska has been calling my name for years.

Its perfect right now, mid to upper 70's with partly cloudy skies and a light breeze, except for the spring thunderstorms. Its really nice in the spring and fall, summer is hell and it just rains all winter. Wait, I think i remember some snow flakes falling this winter, but maybe not.

You had some snowfall. My buddy lives in Kyle (are your towns named after dudes?) and it snowed there this year. Kyle is near Austin.

Dudes are named after our towns! I'll post some pics of my daughters face the first time she saw snow, absolute fear, "What's that Daddy?"

LOL!!!! That's great!!! Did they close down schools for the rest of the year when it started falling? It's almost like that up here. And we have had several feet this season. Most snow since '68 (the last really big one I can remember) and we probably outdid that year. It seems like they would be geared for it where I live....but no. The kid's spring break is like four days because of it. Midwinter break was the same. Four days. And the year will go long. Amazing.
