I know what it is kind of but curious...

    Ok there is this weird thing on my acro. It was impossible to actually get a picture of it but In the picture I can kinda show you it and describe it best I can.

    The first picture gives you an idea of what the hole looks like second picture is where it is. Now what comes out of it...looks like a long(maybe half inch) clear tentacle looking thing, maybe two of them. What ever it is looks nothing like the polyps that is all over the coral. The coral itself is about 5-6 inches across to give an idea of over all size of it. So any ideas? I had noticed the weird hole months ago but never saw the thing coming out of it till today lol.

    Yep, barnacle. My torch has one that doesn't seem to bother it to much so I leave it be.

    Neat yeah it doesn't seem to bother it cuz the across seems to have grown right over it lol.

    Two more questions. Will tue barnacle continue to grow or will it stay that size and can/should I feed it?

    It feeds from the water column so no need to target feed it. It will not get over run by the coral's growth. I don't know if it will get any larger.

    I had 2 on a piece of liverock and they did get larger over time. But one day they just disappeared. Weird.
