;D I found both of these ads and couldn't pass up,the first is a 20 long that came with the stand, all accesories(the only thing i changed was the gravel)all matching oak trim and in absolutly perfect condition.I drove about 50 miles to pick it up for $40 Bucks!!!It's literally perfect, brand new condition!!The lady said her husband bought a larger tank for her for christmas and she just wanted this one out of the way.At the lps i looked at a similar setup with equipment was $389!! The second score was i guy looking for camping gear to trade for saltwater supplies(we just had a baby,so were not camping for a few years)so i traded an older dome tent and a few other small camping items for 30lbs baserock,10lbs live rock,2/3 of a 160 gallon bucket reef crystals, and a hydrometer, and about 45lbs of fine crushed coral(which was just the very items i was i need of to get my 15 gallon reef started!! Double score!WOOT!WOOT!;D 2nd pics are my 15 that i just put together yesterday,i'll get the lights at tax time(only a few weeks away!!!)for now i'm running 2 hoods with coralife 50/50 reg flouresent bulbs just till the cycles done. And i still have about about 20 lbs of left over rock and about 25lbs cc for when i can go to a bigger tank.

I might eventually go salt with the 20,but i like alot of unusual freshwater fish as well, also the hood has a new plant bulb(6700k i think)so i may try some live plants in there, also i'm happy just to get one salt tank up and running!! lol !!,the whole reason i didn't use the 20 for the saltwater is my wife doesnt want to break up the all oak theme:angry:

does anyone have a suggested stocking list for a 15? 1 must have is a firefish, but i'm not sure if i'm going to stay fowlr or if i do add coral,it will be just simple easy stuff(gsp, mushrooms, zoas)as the light i am looking to get is only going to be a 65 watt pc.

You aren't kidding. Between Craigslist and thrift stores, I'd only have 1/4 of the equipment I currently have.

My big score was an 85 Gallon aquarium with stand, and 2 H.O.T. Magnums for $50.

Dang really nice score!! I don't think my floors would support 85 gallons, but i'll buy stuff like that, clean it up add some gravel or a background and turn around and double my money(it's how i support my reefer habits,i mean saltwater reefer habits;D)I'm looking at a 7 gallon bowfront with stand,cp light fixture, heater and filter for $30 bucks, the downside is it's very rough and dirty looking, and the stand looks terrible, there also 40 miles away,so i don't know:confused:
