still not really going to be cold enough I don't think. 70 is still pretty close to tropical. I think those guys range in the 60 degree area. not for sure tho.

I made the same mistake a few years ago - purchased at LFS and like you thought it was like most other gobies. It lived for a few weeks and one day it was gone. I did some research AFTER (of course) and found out it was cold water. I went back to the LFS and told them the issue - they haven't gotten any since that I'm aware of.

I agree, set up the nano if you can - they do best between 60 and 70 so you should be OK and even if the temp gets higher, it will take time before it kills the fish so you have time to get the temp back down if you have too

BTW one of the coolest looking gobies IMO - one day I will attempt a cold water nano too

They range 50s-60s from my research. The tank should be able to stay mid 60s

Pretty much the same stuff I found. I haven't seen it since yesterday. I released it in my gramma's territory by mistake so the gramma may have chomped it, but its likely just hiding. I seriously doubt I'll be able to catch it.

Anyone have any ideas for catching the little guy if he does show up?

gobies could be the toughest of all. They hide in the sand, dig caves under massive rocks and are quite fast and agile. Good luck...
