Hi guys, it's been a while. Today, I have bad news. I have sistematically lost 3 fishes (percula clown, Goby I caught diving and chromis) in the last month. All my levels are within acceptable range. When I brought home some LR, I notice a little crab who seemed harmless, but yesterday, I took this picture:

My question is, do you think this guy killed and ate my fishes? Is this really possible? I can't imagine how a crab can catch a perfectly healthy fish, and I can assure the three were perfectly healthly, lively and eating very well the night before their dissapearance. Yes, they dissapeared completly. Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

You use L/R ? and if so was it from a place in Florida ? You look to have a Stone or Rock or Gorilla plus many other names and different sub species with in the family if carbs named xanthid's major fish and coral eaters if anyone ever has to ask about a crabs I.D ' Don't waste time waiting to hear back just kill it and get rid of it.. The L/R supplier I'm thinking about is a huge supplier of these pest.. Thats where the one I had to breakdown a tank came from in on a Rock from .. Yup that crab just looks evil.

Tangster, where in Fl is the LR place. I might be getting some for a family tank and don't want to get stuck with any unwanted pests. ;)

yup, black tips has to go, that thing will get big, real big. if you cant get it out by hand, place a glass bowl about 4-5" in diameter and about 2-3" deep on the bottom of the tank. put it somewhat in the sand to have the majority of it in the sand with a about a 1/2-1" above the sand. place a piece of meat ( i.e. shrimp ) in the bowl, make sure its either weighted or stays in the bowl. when the crab comes to eat the meat it wont be able to get out.
