I Messed Up Again LOOKING TO REHOME 2 FISHS

I did not read all the replies, so some one may have said this before. I don't know how well you trust your lfs, but there is a ok one around me and they would hold the fish for me if I wanted. I've had them QT things for me because I don't have a QT. I know most lfs don't have room for this, but it could be worth asking about.

 

Be sure to change the rockwork. This has the effect for destabilizing the 'territories" your Naso and PBT have established and puts them a little off their game while everybody re-establishes they territories.

I have a very nice LFS...but i wouldnt let them hold a fish for me...simply because they get fish in twice a week...and all go into the system...so there is a chance of picking up something else...honestly i would just get some new rock/move rocks put him in the DT and keep them fed 24/7 with Nori...its probably ur best shot at success in all honesty...Tangs are so fragile when it comes to QT...even if u QT for a long time...as long as u have fish...ur gonna have ich...QT is just going to make the transition harder IMO...not everyone will agree...but i have 6 tangs...and none of them were ever QTd...

I hear you on that one. My lfs runs quite a few separate tanks, so this would not be a problem for me. It all depends on the OP's lfs. Worth the call to find out imho.

 

If u ordered this fish from LiveAquaria/DD it has already gone through a QT process....you have ich in ur tank..and u still will in 6weeks or however long u want to QT the Achilles....ur just dragging on the inevitable....beat ich by not going crazy over it...not by putting an already stressed fish through more stress...just for it to get ich in 6weeks or whatever...its gonna happen...trust me...

 

So i just got off the phone with my LFS and all there system run off same system. So i dont think im going to ask then to QT the fish. I think the best thing to do is put him in the DT and keep him well feed and hope for the best.

 

Thanks kevin i think your right. Thats the best chance this little poor guy going to have at sucess. other wise im out some $$ long as the wife doesnt find out im ok lol
