That's what they are. My LFS had a couple in one of his tanks and I hadn't seen one before. Very cool little fish! I like Vinny's too :)

Blue gudgeon dartfish/gobies are pale to electric blue depending on the individual, and are about as peaceful as a fish can get. Some of them are very skittish and have trouble dealing with captivity though.

I really like that damsel. Who knew there would be a non-aggressive one!

On another note, my royal gramma is missing and presumed dead. Poor guy was with me for 4 years, 3tank moves ( including a babysitting stint at and LFS and a 6 hour drive to his new home) and wasn't sick. Always front and center. This happened after I added the yellow tang on Tuesday, but the Tang (Lemon Drop) has been nothing but peaceful.

yellow tail damsel. the least aggressive damsel. I have one and it doesn't bother any other fish.

IMOPE, given adequate rockwork and swimming space, damsels are no more aggressive than any other reef fish, and even less so than some. I've had multiple species of damsels in nearly every tank, including 3 (yellowtail, three-stripe, and domino) in my current 29g, and they've always gotten along perfectly fine with all their tankmates. Personally, I believe their bad reputation started in the days of using them to cycle tanks, but then again, 6 weeks as the only inhabitant(s) as well as surviving the water conditions would most likely make any fish more aggressive than normal.

Would you recommend a single damsel, or a small group?
