I need a chiller....what are you using?????

    I like my JBJ Arctica. Very easy to setup, and while it's only kicked in a couple times, the only way I could tell it was on was by looking at the front and seeing the blue "cooling" light was on. Dead silent.

    I'm with AZdesertrat. Why cool the tank when you can cool the whole house? Then everyone gets to be comfortable.

    I also use fans which keep things under control for the most part, but to have a pacific coast imports chiller for hotter days since my house doesn't have AC, the chiller works great. Once we have AC(yay heat pump install next week) I might find the fans alone will handle the tank.

    I also run a JBJ Arctica...I love my chiller...quiet, reliable. You probably should get a 1/4 hp. It would cool that 55 in a short time, thus less electricity.

    I don't cool th house, quite the opposite. 80 is uncomfortable in July and August. I do anything to keep the bills under $400 in the summer.
