So i have had my tank running for a few months now..Very unsatisfied with the way my DT looks using the sump i have now. (cloudy from sand dust). What can i do to clear up the cloudiness from the sand? I have a filter pad in my bubble baffle to help catch it, but it backs up the skimmer chamber and overflows into the return section. I have had to clock back the amount of water and speed of the return pump to help cover for this....

it was the fact that i have 2 k-4's in the tank ....but now its the diamond goby i just got....

if i take out the filter pad, i end up with sand particle going back into the tank and micro bubbles because of when the water crashes into the sump..any sand that manages to make it to the sump gets kicked up by the turbulence in the sump

Sounds like you may need to change your flow in tank.

    filter floss might help
you can stretch it out a bit to allow more water to go through

(it gets dirty fast and you have to change it every 3-4 days, but the bag it came in lasts like a year ($4 i think))
