SWC skimmers have the pump built into the bottom. That's probably the smallest footprint you're going to get as far as I know. They're excellent skimmers too.

Yeah just look at the dimensions..if the 160 fits I'd go with it. Better too big than too small.

tunze 9005 would work well. tunze awesome skimmers that dont need a lot of adjustment. they just work. there is one on ebay right now at a good price.

    Specifications:
Recommended for marine aquariums up to 500 liters (132 gallons)
    Dimensions: 4.9"L x 4.4"W x 14.8"H
    Water throughput: 1,000 l/h (264 gal./h)
    Air capacity: 500 l/h (132gal./h)
    Collection cup volume: 0.4 l (0.10 gal.)
    In-sump (9005.400 required) or in-tank use
    Power Consumption: 12W

had the 9005 on my 58 gallon a few years ago. now when i set this new tank up i bought another tunze... bought the 9002

look into the eshopps cone skimmers too- pump is in the base- very small foot print, or just get an external skimmer, the coralifes are pretty good and can actually hang on the side of the ten gallon tank you have.

You could also look into bubble magus. the pump is also built into the bottom. I just got a bubble mag NAC6 for my 100 gallon and its footprint is tiny. it is a beast of a skimmer and gives me about a cm of skimmate every day

Tunze rocks. Great ability to remove waste from your tank. Im not quite sure about larger tanks, but i have a Tunze 9002 for my 29 gallon Biocube. If a Tunze 9005 fits, id take it. :D
