So long story short, when i set up my tank, my son's grandma wwanted to take him to buy his first fish! She goes to the crappy chain pet store instead of my friends LFS! She comes home with 2 yellowtail damsels! My friend was gonna send them home with a couple chromis! Ya'll know the problem, they're *******s! Just added a bicolor dottyback and black clownfish and they are teaming up on the dottyback! The clown is bigger and def holding his own!

Any suggestions on how to catch one of these bastards? i don't mind 1, but 2 is too much for this small of a tank! They need

    Thanks!
I have the nets resting near their "homes" hoping their cocky attitude will get the better of them!

how small is the dottyback?you do know they can be far more aggressive than your yellowtails.an average sized dotty should more than able hold his own,the damsels are probably just being extra territorial due to the new additions.

also clowns are from the damsel family too,so they can be aggressive as well.

I would bet when all settles down, they will all learn thier place in the tank, and if not, then i believe the dotty could be your biggest troublemaker

yeah, i know they can be little buttheads too, basically its only a 55 gallon, and I have a fish wish list which includes a couple gobies(mandarin and a yellow ororange stripe prawn or a midas blenny) and a flame angel! Would love a bicolor angel too! But as you can see my bio load is maxed out or on its way! And giving a yellowtail back to the LFS would be great!

then hit up youtube for video on how to build a fishtrap from a plastic bottle (very easy to build).you won't always get the fish you want in the trap, but they're pretty effective to save tearing the tank apart.

where abouts in se ohio are you?i don't see too many in my neck of the woods on here.I'm just south of zanesville.
