Ok......that makes sense, just cant believe it makes such a difference. So what could I do with the air pump that could give me the same results as opening up the windows? Any suggestions?

Im using a Whisper 60 and theres about 20' of air line. Luna

I was think around the lines of the air pump. What Otty suggested is probably out of my price range, considering he likes to buy high end units. Luna

if you have an extra blower motor from a furnace you could route duct work from your attic over your tank and back out the attic, most attics have outside ventilation.

I have 5 air stones in my tank and that was not enough to keep pH up. I run 1- 6" duct with a 113cfm fan on it that blowes outside air right on the top of the tank. That is the only way you are going to keep the pH up is get rid of all the CO2 in the house. Those ERV would be perfect for you because it bring in outside air and transfers temp in the process so you get fresh air that you don't have to condition. Win win situation.

Building codes now days have houses too air tight.
Hey now my ears are burning.

    Energy Recovery Ventilator

    50 cfm for under $550

If you would read up on these things they will help the air quality in your home that your kids breathe.

PM Rayjay as he has a nice one in his house.
