Find two that swim somewhat together, under 1-1/4" long, and they should grow to pair up. Pick the bright colored ones that wiggle when they swim, look active, and will eat flake food in the pet store tank, and don't look like they have any white spots, cloudy eyes, ripped fins, other signs of disease, etc.

for tank raised clownfish??? That is a hell-uva deal! You have to understand how hard it can be to raise fish in captivity with the time and everything that goes into it. LFS here had a single tank raised clown for 69.99 I think and there was nothing special about it. The employee told me it sold the day after they got it.

ok so 2 or 3 would be ok. The ones they have are all about the same size, about 1 inch long pretty small. do you have to get one big one small?

I would personally go with 2 just in case later down the road if two become a pair, I think they would kill the third one but not positive about that.

We get tank raised ocellaris and perculas for $12 and $15 apiece at some places. Some places are just marking up big time for the popular Nemos.
