    Do you have a fishing license? Pretty sure if you have a salt water license for the state where you took out the stuff, then it's legal. Moral or ethical? That's a whole nother can-o-worms. If it was me, I'd put it back and hope you didn't leave anything undesirable in your tank, like the arm that comes out of the hole in the rock. :)
