Not familiar with SWC. I have two tanks (45 and 55) and have Coralife in sump skimmers on both. They do a good job. Easy to clean too.

SWC is salt water connection, chinese company
I would probably need 2 coralife ss for this tank, they perform great, but I have seen SWC in action an it blows that coralife outa the sump

SWC is a Canadian company that designs and builds their own skimmers. From there they are manufactured for production in China like 90% of all the other skimmers on the market. SRO is owned by Coralvue as their parent company and all their stuff in manufactured in China.

... like I said.. given the choice which you have I would take Laguna based Askoll pump of the SWC. Same base pump as Bubble Kings Red Dragon and ATBs Airstar.

Well I learned some stuff today, thank you all! So SWC Askoll or anything with a BB 3000? If they are the same I'll see whats more "cost-effective"....hehe :p
if the SWC draws 90scfh thats a lot! So SWC 230 or 300 or XP3000 from SRO....
They are about the same price...
The SRO looks smaller but has a gate valve, I think i will go with the SWC

Blu demon all day for me! i just ordered mine last week for my 240g build-( i wish i had the loot for a bio-fuge because they look so pro!) a guy i work with has a smaller one as well on a 120g, replaced his modded asm, the demon makes the asm look like a toy!...as soon as i saw it working, i was sold! the bubble blasters are sweet pumps too, but the replacement cost is nuts, but they do work really good. the owner of the store said the sicce on the demon i ordered only draws 29 watts! ;D
